Editorial Assistant, Film and Music Division

 The BDS Group is a dynamic and successful enterprise based in Dumfries, supplying data, design and web services to many organisations locally, nationally and internationally.

We currently have two editorial vacancies in our Film and Music Division, one in Film and the other in Music.

We are looking for highly motivated individuals, who have knowledge of and a passion for film, TV and music. The posts involve using Microsoft software, research, substantial data entry and writing editorial for new releases.

These posts will appeal to those who enjoy working in a precise, productivity-driven environment, dealing with a broad range of subjects.

You should be qualified to SCQF Level 6 including English at Higher Grade level or SVQ3 and appropriate PDA (www.scqf.org.uk/features/Framework.htm).

A degree or other qualifications in Classical Music are particularly desirable for the Music vacancy.

Applicants need a broad general knowledge, high level written communication and summary skills, a methodical approach, fast and accurate keyboarding, be able to work autonomously or as part of a team and a high level of attention to detail. They must also have the ability to maintain their own workload and work accurately under pressure.  Full training will be provided.
